Comission a pipe.

Let's Make Something Great!

love making unique pipes for clients, but because I’m dealing with natural briar and my own artistic process,

I have a clear and simple way I work. This process is all about trust and partnership.

The Deal: Collaboration, Not Duplication I don't make exact copies of pipes you see online or work from overly detailed blueprints. When you commission a pipe from me, you're commissioning my style and my hands

.Here’s what I need from you (Your Tips):

The Vibe: Tell me the general shape you like (a classic Billiard, a muscular Rhodesian, etc.).

The Size: Give me an idea of the length or height range you prefer.

The core: Filtered or unfiltered setup.Inspiration:

Point to 1 or 2 specific pipes in my portfolio that really speak to you.

The Final Say is Mine (The Carver):The last decisions on shape, proportion, and tiny details belong to me. This guarantees the pipe is a genuine piece of my best work and signature style.

The Hard Truth of Briar:

Why Pipes ChangeMaking a flawless pipe is a constant battle against nature. Out of ten blocks of briar, I'm lucky if I get three that are smooth all the way through. Briar makes the rules, and I’m here to interpret them.

The Dynamic Process: As I carve, I might notice a subtle flaw or a design opportunity. I reserve the right to make minor tweaks (a little longer here, a different curve there) to make the final pipe the best it can possibly be.

The Finish Risk: You can ask for a smooth finish, and I’ll try my absolute best. But if hidden flaws appear, I must rusticate the pipe. This is not a choice—it’s necessary to save the pipe’s integrity.

Your Agreement: By moving forward, you trust my skill to handle the wood's imperfections and aesthetic surprises. The final pipe is a victory over the wood itself.

Price Check: Investment in HandworkMy pipes are not factory goods; they are functional art pieces of focused effort and skill. The price reflects the cost of rare briar, the dozens of hours of labour, and the tools required to bring this level of craft to life.

Before you hit send on that email:Please take a moment to browse my existing portfolio and observe the prices. We believe the value is clear. I don't negotiate pricing or spend time justifying the cost of my labour in commission discussions. If my price range fits your budget, let's talk.

The Guarantee: No Hard Feelings If, for any reason, the finished pipe is not what you expected, you are not obligated to buy it. My only rule is this: The pipe must be good enough—meaning a high-quality, beautiful piece of work—that I’m happy to take it back for my collection and offer it to another collector.
